News from Halliwick – Brazil of an award for their work

We have just heard good news from a very good friend of Halliwick AST, Mauricio Koprowski Garcia – Chair of Halliwick Brazil.

He tells us that  their association has been given an important reward by  the São Paulo State Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, recognizing the excellence of the Halliwick Concept for the inclusion and egalitarian access to the disabled person.

Joan was nominated for the prestigious Times/Sternberg Active Life Award.

This is the fourth Active Life Award sponsored jointly by Sir Sigmund Sternberg, the 89 – year old philanthropist and founder of the Three Faiths Forum and The Times.

It recognises contributions to society by the over-70s.

There is a £5,000 first prize and £1,000 each for the five runners-up.

Joan was amazed that she was one of the runners-up.

Updated January versions of our two Order Forms are on pages 5 to 7.
